Everyone who works in the conference, exhibition and festival fields learned how to spin in 2020. Some have moved their events to virtual platforms, others have simply marked them over and postponed their events in the hope that the world will balance itself out again in 2021, but there is still a lot of uncertainty as to whether we will be in 2021 Have to wait another year for things to approach the way they used to be.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it is also recommended that “large gatherings be avoided, especially those where physical (social) distance cannot be maintained between people living in different households. These instructions are aimed at people who are planning a large event, e.g. B. Sports events, concerts, festivals, conferences or parades. “
Two of Washington’s most iconic cannabis events, Lemonhaze and Seattle Hempfest, haven’t provided any information as to whether they’ll try live events here in 2021, but no information about virtual options is available either.
Another annual event, the Bellingham Budfest, planned the event in July 2021, but in late April organizers announced that it would have to be postponed to summer 2022. Although there was a lot of excitement and excitement, planners said that the town and port meeting the crowd requirements of Bellingham were too restrictive for what the event was trying to achieve.
CannaCon, a multi-city weed conference first held in the Seattle area, is currently planned for five states in the Midwest and South. Nothing is planned for Washington, however.
There are some virtual events planned with great speaker lineups and learning opportunities that work well in the virtual world. And a couple of live events slated for summer and fall that are probably hoping for a healthier population by then.
Live event websites generally contain few details, possibly in preparation for a quick pivot when things start to swing in a less positive direction. With that in mind, this is what appears to be happening in the world of cannabis gatherings.

Dubbed the world’s largest and most technical cannabis science exhibition, the conference brings together experts in the cannabis industry, instrument manufacturers, testing laboratories, researchers, doctors, policy makers and interested newbies. The annual event aims to improve cannabis science.

The one-day Farm-to-Retailer fair focuses on building relationships between farms and the purchasing managers for the legal cannabis industry across Washington.
Women in the Cannabis Expo
September 27-29, Reno, Nevada
The Women in Cannabis Expo was created to connect women who work in, or wish to join, the cannabis industry with other women for support, collaboration and connection.
MJBizCon Live Expo
October 20-22, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas
The world’s largest cannabis event offers a hybrid experience. There is a live conference for those who can attend and follow legal guidelines, including mandatory masks. From the week of October 18, there will also be an online component.
November 9-10, Seattle Airport Marriott, Seattle
