Leading BC Cannabis Growers Form Industry Organization – Venture New Cannabis Companies


Rubicon Organics co-founds BC cannabis growers with other industry leaders to promote a sustainable, responsible cannabis industry in the province

An industry-led coalition aims to raise awareness of important issues on behalf of licensed cannabis growers in BC and to appeal to policy makers with a unified voice

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 8, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Today, British Columbia (“BC”), leading cannabis producer Rubicon Organics Inc. (TSXV: ROMJ) (OTCQX: ROMJF) (“Rubicon Organics”), Pure Sunfarms, and Tantalus Labs announced the establishment of Cannabis Cultivators of BC (“CCBC”). CCBC is a not-for-profit industry association committed to growing a responsible cannabis industry and promoting a favorable social, economic and business environment for growing cannabis in BC

As the first cannabis breeders’ association to focus on licensed breeders of all sizes in BC, CCBC will work with policy makers to promote the economic well-being of the cannabis industry and contribute to policy making and industry growing issues on behalf of. advancing all licensed cannabis growers in BC and a source of expertise in growing cannabis.

The organization’s vision is to shift the paradigm surrounding cannabis to a policy based on support for cannabis as an emerging economy and agricultural commodity, and to make BC a world leader in cannabis innovation and expertise.

Cannabis grown in BC has long been known for its world-class quality. CCBC will be instrumental in promoting BC grown cannabis for its unique terroir, as winemakers in various regions of the world have been doing for decades.
